Amidst the global pandemic, we got to work creating a new campaign for UWC. Through it, we sought to honour its rich heritage, spotlight its exciting present, and allude to its even brighter future.

Zuko’s Story

When you grow up in a township, you can feel pretty unheard. But up there, on that stage, Zuko found his voice. This story formed part of a series we created for UWC – through which we sought to inspire fellow students, UWC staff members, and the world.

Oscar’s Story

Conflict isn’t unique to any part of the world, or group of people. Yet how we deal with conflict differs dramatically. Oscar has dedicated his life to giving people the tools they need to truly resolve conflict. It was an honour to share his story.

UWC Brand Posters (Best of Both Worlds Campaign)

We co-created a comprehensive marketing strategy and then a 360° creative campaign for the University of the Western Cape. Encapsulated in the tagline, ‘Best of both worlds’, two overlapping transparent circles over every printed medium (from social posts to posters) came to symbolize this promise.

Pillar 7 Name, Logo, tagline

Tasked to come up with a brand identity for UWC’s online continued education platform, we created something that not only stands out from the crowded edu space, but also compliments the UWC brand. While the University’s iconic 6 pillars are well-known, this online venture represents a new 7th pillar for the institution.

Explore, a Bible correspondence course created in Africa for Africa, needed a brand refresh. We did just that. From a new logo to a sharper tagline, from a fresh website to a fierce social media campaign, right through to brochures, newsletters and an ongoing video series.

Creating, conceptualising and designing a double page newspaper wrap in celebration of UWC’s 60th anniversary was no small task. It entailed working with various stakeholders and a very tight deadline. Still, thanks to teamwork and great client relationships, it went off without a hitch.
